Jadonang Football Tournament Pune 2025 – Rules and Regulations
Organized by: Jadonang Football Club Committee & Zeliangrong Students’ Union Pune (ZSUP)
1. Tournament Format & Schedule
- The tournament will begin with a league stage and proceed to knockout matches at the semifinal stage.
- Participating teams will be divided into two pools, and the top two teams from each pool will advance to the semifinals.
- Fixtures and match timings will be announced after team registrations close.
- All matches will be played at designated grounds in Pune.
- In the event of unforeseen circumstances (such as weather disruptions), the Organizing Committee reserves the right to reschedule matches.
2. Registration & Fees
- The last date for team registration is 19 October 2025.
- Registration Fee per Team: ₹10,000 (non-refundable).
- Teams must submit their completed registration form along with the fee to confirm participation.
3. Player Eligibility
- All players must belong to the North Eastern region of India.
- Each player must present a valid government-issued photo ID (e.g., Aadhaar).
- Teams may register a maximum of 18 players (11 starting + up to 7 substitutes).
- A player may represent only one team throughout the tournament.
4. Awards & Cash Prizes

5. Card & Fine System
- Yellow Card: Warning. Two yellow cards across separate matches = one-match suspension.
- Red Card: Immediate expulsion from the match + automatic suspension from the next game.
- Any physical altercation, abuse, or violent conduct may lead to disqualification of the whole team from the tournament.
Fines:
- Red Card incident: ₹500 + 1 match suspension.
- Team tardiness (late arrival >15 minutes): ₹500.
- Yellow Card: ₹200. (Two yellow cards for the same player = 1 match suspension.)
- All fines must be paid before the next scheduled match; failure to do so may result in team disqualification.
6. Referee Authority
- Referees will be appointed by the Organizing Committee and will officiate matches according to FIFA rules.
- The referee’s decision is final and binding.
- Arguing with referees or showing dissent may result in disciplinary action.
7. Match Duration
- League matches: 2 halves of 30 minutes with a 5-minute halftime break.
- Semifinals and finals: 2 halves of 35 minutes with a 10-minute halftime break.
- No injury time will be added during league stages; only knockout rounds may include additional stoppage time as required.
8. Tie-Breaker Rules
- In knockout rounds ending in a draw:
- 5 penalty kicks per team.
- If still tied, sudden death penalties will decide the winner.
- Final Match: May include two 10-minute extra-time halves if still tied before penalties.
9. Dress Code
- Teams must wear matching jerseys with clearly visible numbers.
- Shin guards are mandatory.
- Jerseys must not display offensive, political, or vulgar content.
10. Player Conduct & Campus Regulations
All players, officials, and spectators are expected to demonstrate sportsmanship, discipline, and respect at all times.
Since the venue is on Spicer Adventist University Ground, the following rules apply strictly:
- No consumption or possession of alcohol, intoxicants, tobacco, or smoking products anywhere within the campus.
- Vehicle movement must be slow and within the permitted speed limits inside the campus.
- Roaming around the campus is strictly prohibited. All participants and spectators must remain only in the designated areas (Playground and permitted zones).
- All participants must respect University property, maintain cleanliness, and follow security instructions.
- Offensive or disrespectful behavior toward referees, officials, or spectators will attract disciplinary action.
11. Appeal & Protest Procedures
- Appeals must be submitted in writing within 1 hour of match completion.
- A fee of ₹500 is required (refundable if the appeal is upheld).
- The Disciplinary Sub-Committee will review appeals and respond within 24 hours.
- In the event of any dispute, the decision of the Programme Committee will be final and binding on all teams and participants.
12. Foul & Injury Management
- FIFA guidelines will be followed for fouls and injuries.
- Matches may be paused to treat injured players.
- Teams may request substitutions if an injured player cannot continue.
- First-aid facilities will be available at the venue.
13. Team Disqualification Policies
A team may be disqualified for the following reasons:
- Use of ineligible players.
- Unpaid fines from previous matches.
- Violent behavior or disrespect toward referees or officials.
- Failure to appear for a scheduled match.
14. Contact, Compliance & Liability
By participating, teams agree to:
- Abide by all rules and decisions set forth by the Organizing Committee and Spicer Adventist University.
- Accept that non-compliance may result in suspension or disqualification from the tournament.
- Acknowledge that the Organizing Committee and Spicer Adventist University will not be liable for any injury, loss, or damage incurred during the tournament.
- Any matters not covered by these rules will be decided by the Programme Committee, and its decision shall be final and binding.
